Waste Acceptance Criteria Testing
For construction and landscaping projects, waste needs to be tested and classified before it can be removed and accepted at the appropriate disposal facility. Landfill sites require WAC (Waste Acceptance Criteria) testing to confirm that material meets the relevance acceptance criteria for the proposed disposal route.
WAC testing is used to assess the material against the relevant leaching criteria and establish whether it is suitable for acceptance at an inert, non-hazardous or hazardous landfill site. The waste must also be correctly classified and appropriately characterised as part of the overall assessment process.
