Meridian Water Regeneration: Construction Materials

Supporting Taylor Woodrow

As recognised suppliers of waste management services and suppliers of soils and aggregates, MCM have been able working with Taylor Woodrow at Meridian Water throughout 2024. Continuing to keep the construction supply chain streamlined across the £128 million regeneration scheme into 2025, we are maintaining regular deliveries of fresh soils, primary and recycled aggregates and ready mixed concrete.  Backloading with muck away where possible, we are also removing, recycling or managing construction waste from the site as the schemes develop.

2 years infrastructure and 20 year development

Relying on MCM for a continuous supply of materials, bagged and loose, we have repeatedly returned to site to enable ongoing works and continuity. Once the infrastructure is in place, the development will build into one of London’s largest regeneration projects. Previously industrial land will be home to a new central roadway and network, parkland and riverside open space and 10,000 homes. Next door to Lee Valley Regional Park, the area will extend the natural beauty of the region over the next 20 years.

Supply and Waste Collaboration

Working closely with the MCM supply and waste management teams, the project has called upon many product and service specialisms offered, including:
Crushed asphalt
Aggregates for temporary car park
Hard standing

Ongoing works: February 2025

Delivering multi-loads across Friday and Saturday (7/8 February 2025), MCM have supplied over 520 tonnes of crushed asphalt and 120 tonnes road planings for the hard standing areas ready for the temporary car park and surfacing works to the canteen and office areas.

Additional plant hire has also been sourced and provided, as well as ready mixed concrete for path and roadway construction. Works continue throughout 2025.
