Nationwide Delivery – Soils, Aggregates & Construction Waste Management
More than happy to support where we can as part of Taylor Woodrow’s supply chain, we have supplied construction materials on multiple visits to the new play area within Aylward Academy. The Edmonton school has been receiving delivery of our sourced materials as the site team developed their outdoor space in time for the new academic year.
Just around the corner from Meridian Water, the regeneration development where MCM have been actively supplying soils, aggregates, concrete and construction waste management for the last 2 years, the new playground and outdoor learning areas have been taking shape and are now complete.
Designed by students and giving them a fantastic opportunity to play an integral part in its delivery from design, modelling and presentation, the new playground was opened this week (October 2025) by representatives from Enfield Council, with visitors from across the community and the supply chain involved.
The new playground includes a multi use play court, a large timber shelter with seating, amphitheatre steps and a rain garden.
Working with long-time collaborators Taylor Woodrow, MCM project manager Mick Cavanna has been instrumental in supplying materials for their external works and communal space.
These have included ST4 ready mix concrete, engineering bricks, soft sand (courtesy of Killoughery Construction) and bagged cement. The landscape includes hard standing areas, planting swathes and covered seating for all weather outdoor gathering.
