IBA Aggregate
IBA (Incinerator Bottom Ash) Aggregates are secondary sustainable products formed from the non-hazardous left-behind ash after the incineration of concrete, glass, brick, ceramics and other burnt material.
Widely used as a cost-effective alternative to quarried primary aggregates, our IBA aggregates are Environment Agency and Highways England approved for construction use.
Its beneficial bulk density means a reduction in the amount of aggregates and vehicle movements required when compared to using primary aggregates. As a recycled aggregate, it is preserving natural resources and diverting waste that would otherwise end up in landfill. It offers CO2 savings on construction projects and saves the sourcing of less sustainable primary aggregates from more remote quarries.
It can be used for earthworks and road construction as base and fill material.
